About the Role

A Payroll Administrator assists with the payroll process for the supported country in order to ensure timely and accurate service for our internal client. This includes overseeing all administrative activities related to payroll, processing payroll on a regular basis and managing benefits respecting legal guidelines and company policies.

What You Will Do

  • Enter payroll master data according to relevant legal standards and Harman internal policies
  •  (termination, new hire, taxation, vacation entitlement)
  • Maintaining employee records in collaboration with the human resources department
  • Perform sick leave entries
  • Follow up on missing clock in/clock out times based on information received from employees
  • Follow up on absence and attendance data based on information received from employees
  • Enter overtime data
  • Distribution of monthly tax declarations and Social Security declarations
  • 1st level employee support, Resolving issues employees have with timesheets, payslips and other payroll matters over the phone, during the onsite customer service hours, e-mails and
  • Preparing employer certificates and earning statements upon the request of the employees
  • Review the accuracy of the master data entries based on a list of potential errors identified in the monthly payroll controls by the Payroll Specialist

What You Need to Be Successful

  • High school graduation
  • 1 year of relevant payroll experience
  • User level knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
  • Any type of payroll system experience
  • Intermediate English and Fluent German language knowledge
  • Showing ability to work with confidential information
  • Being able to work with priorities and deadlines

Bonus Points if You Have

  • SAP payroll system experience
  • Workday system experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR/Payroll field
  • Experience with SSC environment
  • Demonstrating an understanding of payroll taxes
  • Employee Customer Service experience
