We are looking for a talented LCA Practitioner to join our team. As the LCA Practitioner, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) process, working closely with the Global Product Line Management (GPLM), Engineering, and other stakeholders. Ultimately you are responsible for managing an internal LCA process, and producing LCA reports for new products as required.
With this visibility and understanding of our products and processes, you will also be accountable for the accurate reporting of product data to support Corporate-wide GHG accounting and reporting. What You Will Do:
- With support from leadership, and with external training, you will manage the entire LCA process for all new products introduced, as required.
- Execute data collection and entry to build and maintain combined static and dynamic proprietary data libraries necessary to support our LCAs within the SimaPro Craft platform.
- During the product design phase, interpret results of analysis and make recommendations for more sustainable material variants, where one or more options are available.
- Produce final LCA reports and provide data for use in external mandatory and voluntary reporting.
- Foster teamwork and effective communication with product development, supplies, and engineering teams to ensure total alignment of LCA process and requirements.
- Work with the division Sustainability Steering Committee, contributing to the forward planning and activity focused on Scope 3 abatement.
What You Need to Be Successful:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in environmental science, data science, sustainability, or related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a position requiring LCA modeling or work involving extensive quantitative data analysis.
- Experience in any one of life cycle assessment, sustainability, or environmental reporting.
- Knowledge of and or experience with LCA databases such as Ecoinvent, and tools such as SimaPro.
- Ability to manage and analyze large amounts of data and experience working with databases or data collection.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong hands-on individual that is self-motivated and resourceful.
- Results driven and strives to meeting or exceeding goals and objectives.
- Strong team player and builds trust and confidence with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proficient in verbal and written English.
Bonus Points if You Have:
- Familiar with manufacturing processes commonly used in acoustics and or electronics assemblies.
- Published LCA reports and or experience communicating LCA reports to stakeholders.
