About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee production planning, serial purchasing, and material flow operations. This role is critical in ensuring efficient supply chain processes, optimal resource utilization, and alignment with business objectives. The position involves both strategic and operational responsibilities, including team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the production planning, serial purchasing, and material flow team
- Supervise long-term capacity planning (LPS), mid-term (MPS), and daily planning activities, including necessary coordination and escalation
- Oversee and improve the demand planning process
- Represent the Pécs plant in consensus meetings (SIOP)
- Plan NPI (New Product Introduction) activities
- Manage and lead serial purchasing operations
- Ensure raw material availability and resolve supply issues, including communication with problematic suppliers
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate actions to meet strategic business goals
- Define and track KPIs, implement corrective actions
- Participate in development projects
- Organize and supervise employee evaluations and development plans
- Implement actions to reduce obsolete and slow-moving inventory
- Maintain and enforce area-specific instructions, ensure audit readiness and active participation
- Plan and utilize human and material resources according to targets
- Prepare periodic employee evaluations
- Take responsibility for the entire material management process, including service RMA
- Develop improvements for optimal material flow
- Support SAP business analyst in restoring supply chain processes in SAP
What You Need to Be Successful:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to manage complex planning and supply chain processes
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration across departments
- Proactive and strategic mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
Bonus Points if You Have:
- Experience in logistics or supply chain development projects
- Familiarity with SAP and integrated ERP systems
- Proven track record in reducing obsolete inventory
- Participation in audit processes and compliance management
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams
What Makes You Eligible:
- Education: University degree or secondary professional qualification in logistics or economics
- Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in production planning
- Skills:
- Fluent English (negotiation level)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Knowledge of integrated ERP systems (preferably SAP)
