About the Role

As the Account Manager of Sales, Best Buy, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and driving sales growth within the Best Buy channel across North America. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, Best Buy, this role owns the development and execution of annual business plans, delivers sales and profitability targets, and builds senior-level retail partnerships. This is a high-visibility individual contributor role requiring strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to balance qualitative insight with data-driven decision making.

What You Will Do

  • Annual Business Planning – In partnership with the VP of Best Buy Sales, develop and execute an annual business plan to achieve organizational, team, and account objectives, aligning short- and long-term goals for the Best Buy channel.
  • Performance Ownership – Own and deliver key performance metrics including sales, profit, account receivables, return on investment, and sell-through performance for assigned accounts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner daily with the VP of Best Buy Sales and Best Buy’s cross-functional teams to manage business priorities, address account needs, and ensure timely resolution with clear communication.
  • Relationship Management – Cultivate and grow strategic relationships within Best Buy to advance joint business plan objectives and secure high-visibility opportunities.
  • Forecasting & Analytics – Partner with the VP of Best Buy Sales and Sound United’s demand planning team to deliver accurate, high-confidence sales forecasts by analyzing sales data, monitoring inventory health, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Market & Competitive Insights – Coordinate marketing-supported account activities, align reseller strategies with Sound United priorities, and own the collection and documentation of competitive intelligence to drive strategic decision-making.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • 3–5 years of experience managing sales teams and/or manufacturer rep firms.
  • Proven experience working with Best Buy in a vendor, brand, or national account capacity.
  • Strong understanding of the consumer electronics and premium audio categories.
  • Financial proficiency with forecasting, budgeting, and performance analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with Power BI preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of premium audio brands, technologies, and competitive landscape.
  • Experience leading complex retail launches or major promotional initiatives.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority across internal and external teams.

  • Willing to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
  • Willing to work remotely with visits as needed to the Carlsbad, CA office.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Pay Transparency
$ 108,750 - $ 159,500

Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission.

Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need.
