About the Role
The Digital Transformation Consultant will be responsible for defining and executing the digital transformation strategy across PLM, Quality, CAD, and Manufacturing solutions. You will drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, optimize workflows, and enhance collaboration to improve efficiency, reduce time-to-market, and foster innovation. This role requires a deep understanding of PLM, Quality, CAD, and manufacturing processes, coupled with a proven track record of leading successful digital transformation projects.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital transformation strategy for PLM, Quality, CAD, and Manufacturing, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (e.g. IoT, AI, machine learning, cloud computing, digital twins, additive manufacturing) and assess their potential impact on our operations.
- Provide thought leadership and guidance on digital transformation best practices.
- Create and present roadmaps and business cases for digital transformation initiatives to senior management.
- Analyze and optimize existing PLM, Quality, CAD, and manufacturing workflows to identify areas for improvement through the application of digital technologies.
- Lead the selection, implementation, and integration of new digital tools and platforms, including PLM, CAD, FMEA, Manufacturing, and related systems.
- Ensure seamless data flow and integration between different systems and departments.
- Establish and maintain data governance and security standards.
- Drive change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, IT, and quality, to achieve digital transformation goals.
- Provide training and support to employees on new digital tools and processes.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of digital transformation initiatives.
- Monitor and report on the progress of digital transformation projects, identifying and addressing any challenges.
- Analyze data and provide insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage budget and resources effectively and have the ability to integrate CAD/CAM/CAE workflows into broader PLM and manufacturing processes.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in PLM, Quality, CAD, and/or Manufacturing, with a proven track record of leading digital transformation initiatives.
- Deep understanding of PLM, Quality, CAD, and manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Strong knowledge of emerging digital technologies and their applications in manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Industry 4.0 concepts.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools and programming languages.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in cost analysis.
- Experience with AI/ML implementations within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in digital twin development and deployment.
- Relevant certifications in areas such as data analytics, business intelligence, PLM, PCM, and ERP.
- Experience in the Automotive or High-tech industry.
