About the Role
This position will support the implementation of Global initiatives and Strategy to strength Materials Management practices among the manufacturing sites, this role will work in close coordination with the areas of SIOP, Procurement, Finance and CBU to support strategies deployment by applying the Harman Production System philosophy.
What You Will Do
- Supports Harman Automotive manufacturing plants in all aspects of Material Management processes with a special focus on Customer Demand Planning.
- Support the identification and deployment of best practices among the Manufacturing Customer & Production control teams.
- Support End of Life/Change Management process by Identifying and implementing improvements to reduce obsolescence risk among all manufacturing sites.
- Oversee production control and FERT transactions.
- Evaluate and monitor the high level of data and transactional integrity in the MRP system for the sites in order to assure proper Customers requirements are driven.
- Audit and correct SAP master data settings, including inventory and planning.
- Support the development of “what if” business case analysis scenarios for executive decision support.
- Able to make quick decisions or apply thorough analysis as appropriate.
- Support Team development for materials personnel in all sites including training, recommendations for performance evaluations, promotional recommendations.
- As required, schedule and leads webinars to train Harman associates on tools and processes.
- Support the identification of process gaps in the Cust Service organization, and Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-compliance related issue.
What You Need to Be Successful

- High proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Data management and analysis in SAP/Excel environment.
- Excellent team player – can effectively work with all levels of a global matrixed organization.
- Advanced understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, International Business, Finance or Administration Degree, or proven equivalent experience in the electronics industry.
- Knowledge of BOM, Engineering Changes, documentation control for electronic industry.
- Knowledge of LPC (Life Product Cycle).
- Materials and Supply Chain Experience in electronics (Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse operation, logistics).
- 10+ years of prior experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Experience implementing Continuous Improvement and excellence Methods.
- English 90%, Advance English level (reading and writing that allow fluid presentations).
