About the Role

As a Project Leader specializing in Build and Automation, you will be responsible for the delivery of a robust build infrastructure and automation environment that enables best-in-class continuous integration and software delivery practices within our SBU Connectivity projects. This role requires close collaboration with our DevOps engineers, the project teams and the Software Project Leaders to ensure successful software deliveries internally and externally, and alignment with project goals.

Your Team
This position reports to the Manager, Build and Automation Romania. You will be an integral member of our experienced development team, working closely with software project leaders, software engineers, test engineers and our build and automation project leaders.
What You Will Do
- Ensure best-in-class CI/CD with automated L1/L2 testing is implemented and executed.
- Develop continuous integration plans that outline the process, milestones, and resources required for successful software deliveries.
- Work closely with our DevOps engineers and software project leads to ensure alignment of integration efforts with project timelines and goals.
- Implement quality assurance measures to ensure that integrated software meet established standards and requirements.
- Promptly identify and address build issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain accurate documentation of continuous integration processes, configurations, and results to facilitate knowledge transfer and future reference.
- Proactively identify integration risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to project timelines and deliverables.
- Provide regular CICD progress updates to stakeholders, including project leaders, developers, and management, to ensure transparency and alignment with project goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance integration processes, tools, and methodologies to promote efficiency and effectiveness within the software development lifecycle.
What You Need to be successful
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in leading software development or working in software integration.
- Proven experience of working with CI pipelines.
- Experience of working with Linux operating systems.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams and drive project success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results within project constraints.
- Experience of planning and tracking within frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Fluent English skills and exceptional communication skills.
- Understanding of UML and/or SW architecture concepts.
- Understanding of embedded systems.
- Technical understanding and familiarity with continuous build and version control systems.
- Experience in the automotive industry or Automotive SPICE.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 or related certification is a plus.
