Description & Requirements

  • Lead and manage automotive telematics projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Japanese and global teams, facilitating seamless communication and coordination.
  • Act as the primary liaison between engineering teams, customers, and stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Develop and track project schedules, risks, and mitigation plans to ensure successful execution.
  • Drive agile and waterfall project methodologies based on project needs.
  • Monitor project performance, report progress, and provide strategic recommendations for process improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to automotive standards and compliance requirements.
  • Handle change management and issue resolution, proactively addressing challenges in project execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive software project management, preferably in the telematics domain.
  • Fluency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive software development lifecycle (ASPICE, AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, etc.).
  • Experience working with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, or automotive software vendors.
  • Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional team collaboration skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and risk management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools like JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
  • Experience working with Japanese automotive companies.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems, connectivity solutions, and telematics frameworks.
