About the Role
The Master Data Senior Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of key business data across enterprise systems. This role drives data governance supports business operations with reliable master data and collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams such as Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, IT, and Manufacturing.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a structured approach to data management, and experience in driving master data standards and process improvements.
What You Will Do
Master Data Management
- Create, maintain, and validate master data objects (e.g., materials, vendors, customers, BOM, routings, finance master data) in ERP systems.
- Ensure data integrity, completeness, and compliance with internal data governance policies.
- Conduct periodic audits and cleansing activities to improve data quality.
- Monitor data workflows and ensure timely data availability to business teams.
Data Governance & Quality
- Implement and enforce data governance and standardization rules across business units.
- Identify data issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain data quality KPIs and dashboards.
Process Improvement
- Streamline and document master data processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and standardization.
- Support ERP enhancement projects, migrations, and new system rollouts.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work with Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and IT stakeholders to understand master data requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for master data policies, tools, and processes.
- Train business users on data standards, processes, and best practices.
Reporting & Analysis
- Generate data reports, analyze trends, and present insights to leadership.
- Support audits and compliance requirements by providing data extracts and documentation.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- 5–8 years of experience in Master Data Management (MDM) or similar analytical roles.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP ECC/S4Hana) is highly preferred.
- Ability to lead a small MDM team.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Strong understanding of master data objects (material, vendor, customer, financial master data, etc.).
- Proficiency in Excel, Power Query, and data analysis tools; experience with SQL or Qlik is a plus.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and workflow tools.
