About the Role
This position is for an engineering intern working within the Harman Pro design teams. Most of the activities will involve mechanical design with some activity in helping our electrical engineers in a lab environment building assemblies and taking key data using typical lab measurement equipment.
What You Will Do
- Assist with assembly of prototype hardware in the lab.
- Some design of mechanical parts or change documentation as needed.
- Work with test equipment team on production test equipment.
- Assist team with general internal and external validation testing. Mainly vibration and thermal related.
- Assisting with ordering parts, receiving parts, shipping parts from suppliers and other Harman locations.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Sophomore year or later, or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution.
- Experience in the use of Solid works 3D modeling software.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Familiar with GDT for drawings.
- Familiar with static/dynamic simulation methods and the use of CFD software for thermal analysis.
- Experience with statistical tools, including Six Sigma Green belt training.
- Previous experience is working with electronics packaging design.
What Makes You Eligible
- Fluency in English. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
- Open to occasional travel.
- US citizen with valid drivers license.
- Live in the Dallas area.
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
- Must provide full work availability from May 2026 through August 2026 and be able to work 40 hours per week

Freshman: $21.00
Sophomore: $23.00
Junior: $25.00
Senior: $27.00
Master: $32.00
Doct: $38.00
Dependent on the internship offered, pay is based on factors, including without limitation, the applicant's level of education and business need.
