About the Role
As a Software Engineering Intern supporting our Ready Care technology, you will support the definition and development of the future of the product space. The goal of this group is to create the future of safety for the automotive in-cabin experience.
What You Will Do
- Support on literature studies for new trends connected to the in-cabin experience.
- Support in planning, design, and testing of new features like child presence detection, occupant detection, drowsiness detection, and alcohol/drug intoxication
- Support on product evaluation & Demo related activities including general testing, test report generation, pproduct demo setup preparation and executing Customer demos, as well as evaluation of digital testing methods for DMS and OMS systems using Synthetic data and Digital scenario generation
What You Need to Be Successful
- Coursework in in automotive engineering, robotics, or related fields
- Proactive mindset and innovative mindset
- Profound analytical and mathematical skills
- Experience with Python
- Experience with either ROS/C++ environment or MATLAB/Simulink environment
- Hands-on knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu environment and bash scripting
- Basic knowledge and strong interests in one of the following fields: ADAS/AD, systems engineering, and simulation
- Basic knowledge of MS Office
Bonus Points if You Have
- Background in computer vision
- Prior experience with IPG CarMaker, ROS, CARLA
What Makes You Eligible
- Must be currently enrolled in a related Bachelor's Degree program or higher at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
- Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
- Be willing to work in an office in Novi, Michigan.
- Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work.
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
- Must provide full work availability from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026 and be able to work 40 hours per week

Freshman: $21.00
Sophomore: $23.00
Junior: $25.00
Senior: $27.00
Master: $32.00
Doct: $38.00
Dependent on the internship offered, pay is based on factors, including without limitation, the applicant's level of education and business need.
