About the Role

The Payroll Specialist assists with the payroll process for Thailand in order to ensure timely and accurate payroll service for our employees. This includes overseeing end to end activities related to payroll, processing payroll on a regular basis and managing benefits respecting legal guidelines and company policies.

What You Will Do

  • Manage complex payroll inputs and create batch input files according to relevant legal standards and Harman internal policies
  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process ensuring timeliness and high quality, especially support payroll run control activities
  • Ensure legal compliance for Thailand payroll, understands legal requirements
  • Calculate and process complex payroll elements
  • Check benefits in kind for tax/social insurance obligations and correct accounting
  • Create and maintain internal documentation for audit
  • Prepare payment request and ensure accuracy
  • Act as Professional Lead for a specific payroll area (Social Security, Tax, Social Insurances, Time management, Payroll integrations, Payroll retro calculations)
  • Ensure the accuracy of monthly and yearly statutory declarations for Thailand
  • Execute complex monthly payroll reporting and investigate payroll issues using problem solving technics.
  • Understand payroll accounting and provide support to Finance to resolve open balances
  • Handle payroll related queries as Tier 1/ Tier 2 support
  • Maintain contact with Authorities and 3rd parties (ADP, Insurance companies, Authorities)
  • Initiate process improvements and bring new ideas to increase efficiency and quality of provided service
  • Project management, implementations, process redesigns based on country payroll experience
  • Work closely with local payroll vendor and ensure vendor management for operation, invoicing

What You Need

  • University or College degree
  • 5 years of experience in same role
  • Advanced payroll experience
  • Advanced English language knowledge
  • Proficient level knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
  • Workday system knowledge
  • Showing ability to work with confidential information
  • Willing to work independently and good problem-solving skills
  • Being able to work with priorities and deadlines
  • Project management experience
  • Vendor management experience
  • Basic Payroll accounting knowledge

What is Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or Finance field
  • Relevant experience in ADP Celergo
  • Experience with SSC environment
  • Employee Customer Service experience
  • Project management skills
