Description & Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated Automotive Sound System Benchmarking Working Student to support our team in evaluating and enhancing in-vehicle audio performance. The ideal candidate will play a key role in executing Harman’s benchmarking process, conducting sound quality tests, and collaborating with global teams to maintain and develop industry-leading audio solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct automotive sound system benchmarking following Harman’s standardized processes.
  • Assist in designing and implementing sound quality listening tests.
  • Perform in-vehicle acoustic measurements and analyze results.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, data entry, and database maintenance for benchmarking activities.
  • Train internal Harman employees on benchmarking processes and listener training programs.
  • Support Engineering and Sales teams in defining sound quality performance targets.
  • Collaborate with global teams in Germany, Japan, India, and China to align benchmarking processes and maintain a shared database.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Audio Technology, Engineering, Acoustics, Computer Science, Data Science, Sociology, Psychology, or Statistics.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present insights to senior leadership.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Passion for audio technology and the automotive industry.
  • Results-driven mindset with a structured and analytical approach.
