You will join our COA PMO department based in our EMEA Headquarters in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in the position of:     

Business Transformation Manager COA

About the Role:

In this role, you will take the lead in optimizing end-to-end processes, collaborating across multiple functions to enhance efficiency, eliminate waste, and implement a strong process governance structure. A key focus will be leading elements of  the transition for COA, from SAP ECC to a new ERP platform by 2027, playing a critical role in one of Harman’s most significant transformation initiatives.

As part of the COA Project Management Organization, you will work closely with PMO teams, analysts, and the Director of Project Management to ensure seamless execution. This role may over time also include managing one direct report.

What You Will Do:

ERP Migration:

  • Primary point of contact on behalf of COA business organization for a multiyear ERP migration project in multiple workstreams or project modules.
  • Coordination with subject matter experts on validation of future state processes
  • Interaction and coordination with third party service providers
  • Coordinate efforts with the Digital organization and other enterprise functions

Govern End-to-End Processes:

  • Document and communicate a clear vision for end-to-end process outcomes.
  • Determine process governance, operating model, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Work with stakeholders to define KPIs and SLA expectations.
  • Drive global adoption of a standardized end-to-end process, with regional / local customization as required (e.g., for regulatory compliance)
  • Support the maintenance of HARMAN documentation of policies, guidelines, processes, and tooling.

Monitor Process Performance & Identify Opportunities for Improvement:

  • Ensure development of analytics-driven reporting to measure the efficiency of the end-to-end process and ensure maintenance of data quality.
  • Review end-to-end process performance and provide ongoing governance for process adoption and business demand.
  • Participate in governance boards to provide input on items such as process scope and service delivery and assist in resolving operational issues.
  • Participate in monthly performance reviews to share leading practices and leverage cross-process opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of process trends and leading practices across areas of purview to inform strategic direction and process enhancement.

Prioritize & Advise on Process Improvements:

  • Create a prioritized pipeline of process related improvements and opportunities.
  • Determine which opportunities to pursue with a focus on reducing process costs, increasing efficiency, and maximizing investment returns.
  • Incorporate leading process design practices (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) into process improvement efforts.
  • Build business cases to quantify the cost and value of process opportunities and participate in budget decision-making.
  • Drive major process redesign efforts and be accountable for their successful implementation.

Promote Process–Oriented Culture:

  • Foster a culture of continuous process excellence and improvement.
  • Promote Lean methodology throughout COA
  • Collaborate across functions, data owners/stewards, and peers to ensure consistency and alignment across process and data.
  • Collaborate with the business and functions to ensure resources are properly trained on processes and systems.
  • Build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.

Project Management:

  • Collaborate with COA project managers, project teams in transformational projects and COA Leadership.
  • Provide relevant analysis and documentation of current state processes to project teams.
  • Facilitate workshops with lean methodology to effectively define project deliverables and problem statements.

What You Need to Be Successful::

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management (Master’s preferred).
  • 15+ years in transformation, consultancy, or project management, with 5+ years in global process management.
  • Proven success in ERP or enterprise  level transformation, process governance, and business optimization.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Ability to influence, lead cross-functional teams, and drive decision-making in a global matrixed organization.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools like Jira, Workfront, MS Project.
  • Strong expertise in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile).
  • Exceptional communication skills – comfortable engaging with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Strategic problem-solving approach, with the ability to execute at both a high level and in the details.
  • Experience with Celonis is a plus.

Preferred Certifications & Technical Expertise:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMI certification highly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and PPM tools.

Bonus Points if You Have:

  • Preferably experience in working within a global organization with a diverse, multi-cultural team.

What Makes You Eligible:

  • Willingness to travel 20%-40% of the time
  • Willingness to work in an Amsterdam Office (Preferably ) ; open to other Harman locations as well i.e Germany and Denmark.
